Just a mile from downtown, the Sunnyside Nature Preserve will make it easier than ever for Lancaster’s residents to get outside. Situated on a peninsula formed by the Conestoga River, the Preserve will feature restored habitats, public trails, scenic vistas, kayak launches, and an Environmental Center designed to be one of only a handful of buildings on Earth to meet full Living Building certification. This project will improve quality of life for our residents, promote vital conservation work, and serve as an inspiration for other communities.
